At Autumn Embers, a celebration of the transition between Autumn and Winter, an overtone singing ensemble led by Robb Saffell & J.I. Canizares based in Rockville, MD, will offer meditative improvisations accompanied with singing bowls. District poets Maria de los Angeles and Reuben Jackson will recite original verses as well as poems by Carl Sandberg and Mary Oliver, among others.

Autumn Embers begins at 4 P.M. November 16, 2019, followed by a reception with the artists. A $12 donation is kindly requested at the door or at tinyurl.com/autumnembers. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the restoration of the church’s historic bell tower.
