As Grace Cavalieri prepares to launch her new podcast, The Poet and the Poem: Voices of Maryland Poets, her legacy and continued significance is honored by Bay Weekly
MARYLAND'S TENTH poet laureate, Grace Cavalieri, prepares to launch her new podcast, a spin-off of her famous "The Poet and The Poem" exploring Maryland's poetic voices, during a tumultuous and uncertain time in the history of the country. Despite all this, Paula Anne Delve Phillips of the Bay Weekly assures us, "It’s an opportune time to delve into poetry as a path to better understanding and means of self-expression. For those ready to test the water, one could hardly find a better guide than ... Grace."
On January 2021, 15 new episodes of Grace's podcast will be available to help us, as Grace says, "to understand the world through language." Although the world might be full up with confusion and malfeasance, Grace offers us a little bit of light in the fog.
